Inside: JACK + JILL
Make no mistake, the design of this project is market driven. The lots sold for $15,000 each, the cheapest land per square foot in the city of Los Angeles at the time. With over half of the budget dedicated to the foundation the design had to be incredibly frugal. The project is featured as one of L.A. Times’ ‘Homes of the Week’.

Certificate of Occupancy! Hardy has decided to move in to Jill and Kevin has decided to sell Jack (he’s more of a westside snob still). The construction ended up taking almost two years to complete. A result of self performing so much of the construction is that it moves a little slower but the savings more than make up for it.
